It's about Giving

All throughout the bible we are shown how God is a giving God.

he gave his only begotten son so that we may live

He gives guidance

He gives Love

He gives peace

He gives prosperity

He even gives us all that we desire

The Lord has never used who He is against us

rather He dedicated himself to serving others

Rejoice! as we have been given gifts from God

that no one can destroy.

Here are three gifts given to us that we may be unaware of:

  1. The Gift Of Life- God formed us, knew us and protected us starting from our mother's womb, to infancy, childhood, adulthood and old age. Psalms 139:13-16 tells us how we are fearfully and wonderfully made even when we were a secret we were not hidden from Him. Again we are informed in Romans 8:10-11 "But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you." As believers we know Christ is in us by "if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in Him and he in us: He has given us his Spirit" 1 John 4: 12-13. With life we are also blessed with time.

  2. The Gift of Time- every day we wake God has given us the blessing of time. We are informed in Psalms 90:12 "teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" if we are aware of the days we have been given we can appreciate the blessing God gives us daily. As believers we should remain in the attitude of Gratitude so when we serve others with our gifts they see the light of the Lord.

  3. The Gift of Talents- We all have been given a special gift to serve one another. in 1 Peter 4: 10-11 we are informed to "use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." in Matthew 20:28 we are reminded that "the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

By understanding the blessings we have been provided through the gifts we each have been given then we can properly Serve humbly in love. the Lord has set the example of how to give humbly to each other as he continuously gives to us. Give and trust in the Lord at all times so his light may continuously shine through us.

A Prayer:

Lord I thank you for your mercy and your grace. Lord I am thankful for your provision and your Will. I pray for all who reads this blog may have a better understanding of the Blessings and Gifts we have been given through you. Lord I pray we gain a better understanding to serve as we are informed in Colossians 3: 24 that we are actually serving the Lord Christ. May we rejoice in knowing the life you have in store for us is greater than anything our hearts may desire. Lord you are worthy of all the honor and all of the praise and I trust in your word. Lord I pray more hearts are open to your Will and your Way. May we be more open to serving rather than receiving and allowing your Will to be done in and through our lives. in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
